The forum, held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara Conference Centre Bijilo, attracted both local and international investors.
At the event, Rebecca Riley Bensouda, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Africa Inter-Trade Investments, revealed that the Africa Inter Trade Investment is a high-profile international event, which seeks to bring investors from diverse backgrounds representing various sectors of the economy with the primary objective of not only exchanging but also fostering economic growth for nations and integration within the continent.
Noureddine Bachiri, president of the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that their coming to The Gambia is to complement the efforts of government in bringing about necessary development and economic growth, thus elevating the status and profile of The Gambia at the global level.
He observed that promoting African integration and growth through investment cultural exchange would significantly foster growth and create common understanding and enhancing potentials for African businesses.
This, he added, would help in breaking barriers and facilitating investment by easing the process of doing business through concerted partnership efforts.
According to him, networking among foreign investors and local entrepreneurs attracts direct foreign investment and creates employment opportunities in key sectors of the economy.
