The highly anticipated show will also feature top Gambian acts Bobo Dimoo, Black Tigu, and other surprise performers.
Now in its 4th year, the concert has grown bigger with each edition, drawing some of the biggest names from The Gambia and Guinea Conakry.
Organizers say this year’s event goes beyond music.
“It aims to promote Gambian culture while strengthening unity and cohesion among the country’s ethnic groups,” they said.
The non-political association has for years championed cultural and social empowerment. The annual concert serves as a platform for Gambian and Guinean artists to share one stage and celebrate togetherness.
Speaking ahead of the event, Bobo Dimoo, the association’s Media and Publicity Officer, said preparations are in full gear.
He spoke about the vast talents in the country and that they will continue to promote Gambians talents as music has no boundary.
“The vision of this association is to promote Gambian talents beyond the shores of Gambia,” he said.
He added that the concert is also used to drive youth empowerment, social welfare, and peacebuilding initiatives across the country.
Bobo Dimoo said the buzz is already huge. “Music is one of the fastest ways to communicate while promoting cultural tolerance and cohesion. So far we are getting positive feedback, especially within the Fula community nationwide,” he said.
He urged the public to come out in large numbers.
“We are calling on everyone to be part of this historic event. It is expected to be one of the biggest concert events in The Gambia this year,” he urged.
