Gambia, Saudi Foreign Ministers discuss developments in Palestine

His Excellency Dr. Mamadou Tangara, the Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad on 1st September held telephone discussion with His Excellency Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia about significant issues including the Palestinian territories.

The two leaders discussed in detail developments in Palestine and also reviewed ongoing efforts to bring about cease-fire and durable peace and stability in the region.

The discussion took place on the sidelines of the 50th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Yaounde, Cameroon from 29th to 30th August, 2024. The Declaration that was issued at the end of the two-day meeting calls for peaceful resolution of the conflicts across all member states.
