Young boys in the village of Gunjur between the ages of 18 and 25 recently held a workshop on how to develop the skills needed for self-employment.

Speaking to the crowd at the workshop the co-ordinator of the young farmers association, Mr. Omar Sowe, alias Comdo, said that it pleases their heart to organise such an event. This, he said, will allow the boys to learn skills for themselves. He added that the participants would find the workshop most beneficial as the skills they learn will help them in self-employment.

Mr. Comdo believes that the government cannot provide for all Gambians or residents of The Gambia but that people must help themselves as there are many ways to earn a living.

He thanked the boys for concentrating not only on football but on other aspects of their lives as well.

Other speakers at the occasion included Abdoulie D. Touray the secretary, Montang Raul Darboe and Alieu O. Jabang and all expressed similar sentiments. Ousman Kah Bajo gave the vote of thanks.
