Worriors beat Lion Heart in Handball League opener

Worriors Handball Club defeated Lion Heart Handball Club 16-11 points in the opening game of the 2010-11 Gambia Handball Association National Handball league championship at the Independence Stadium Handball Courts in Bakau at the weekend.

The match, characterised by delightful exhibition of skills and talent by both sides, attracted handball fans across Bakau and its surroundings.

The opening game was witnessed by the president of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), Momodou Dibba, Beatrice Allen and other dignitaries.
