In a drive at promoting and developing Taekowondo across all regions in the country, the Gambia Taekwondo Association will open a new Taekowondo Club in Fass Njagga Choi in the North Bank Region of The Gambia next month, Pointsport can reveal.
In an interview with Pointsport recently, Tunko Sanneh, a member of the Gambia Taekowondo Association, said the opening of the new club in Fass Njagga Choi is part of his association’s efforts at decentralizing Taekowondo across all regions in the country.
He said plans are in the pipeline to open a new Taekowondo clubs in Upper River Region, Lower River Region and Central River Region as part of his association’s efforts to promote and develop Taekowondo in the country.
The association would make all efforts to ensure Taekowondo reaches all regions in the country as well as qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games to be held in London this summer.
