Coach Savoy made these remarks at a press briefing held at the Independence Stadium Conference Hall in Bakau last Thursday.
Savoy revealed that they will prepare well for the World Cup qualifiers as well as for the Nations Cup qualifiers, adding that their second qualifiers match against Cameroon in September 2015 in Banjul is very important as it also determines their fate in the continent’s biggest football fiesta.
Coach Savoy further revealed that the team will be vying for two qualifiers such as the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and 2018 World Cup qualifiers, saying it would not be easy but he would try his level best to perform to expectation in both qualifiers.
Savoy pointed out that they are going to South Africa to search for a positive result before hosting Cameron in the second game of the qualifiers in Banjul and away to Mauritania in March 2016.
Savoy hailed the Gambia Football Federation for their invaluable support rendered to the team for their trip to South Africa, expressing hope that the team would snatch a positive result in South Africa.
