A woman was recently convicted and sentenced to a fine of D1,500 in default to serve three months in prison by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Jallow.
Mariama Kujabi, found guilt of stealing, was also ordered to compensate the complainant with D24,000.
The court also ordered the recovered money to be returned to the owner.
