One Mariama Nyassi was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.
She had denied the charge and was granted court bail of D200,000 with two Gambian sureties, who should deposit their ID cards at court.
The case was then adjourned till 25 January 2012.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Mariama Nyassi, on 30 December 2011, at Kanifing South, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole the following items: a set of gold chains and earring valued at D40,000, four gold bangles valued at D70,000, a pair of earrings valued at D10,000, a pair of shoes valued at D2,640, a watch valued at D6,300 and Cocoa butter cream valued at D100, being the property of one Fatou Touray.
