Woman Arraigned For Criminal Offences

One Fatou Conteh was recently arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court for criminal trespass and assault.

The particulars of the offence on count one revealed that Fatou Conteh on or about 13th April 2009 at Wellingara village in Kombo North District, Western Region, the accused entered the compound of one Jankeh Saine with intent to intimidate, insult or annoyed her.

While on count two the accused is alleged to have unlawfully and willfully assaulted Jankeh Saine by beating her all over her body.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge.

She was granted bail in the sum of D1, 000.
