Wellingara United male volleyball team defeated Unicef male volleyball team in the group A fixture by three sets to nil in the opening volleyball tournament of FIIV Instructor Mbai Dem’s Trophy organised by the Brikama Youth and Sports Association (BYSA), played at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
Wellingara United male volleyball team beat Unicef male volleyball team by 25 points to 24 points in the first set.
Again in the second set they beat Unicef male volleyball team by 25 points to 22 points.
During the final set, Wellingara United male volleyball team thrashed Unicef male volleyball team by 25 points to 14 points.
In the female category of the Fatou Sowe Trophy, Bere Wulleng female volleyball team, defeated Jaliba United female volleyball team by four sets to one, a game played also at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
Bere Wulleng female volleyball team beat Jaliba United female volleyball team by 25 to 22 points in the opening set and again during the second set; Bere Wulleng female volleyball team got 25 points whilst Jaliba United female volleyball team got 15 points.
During the third set, Jaliba United female volleyball team beat Bere Wulleng female volleyball team by 25 points to 15points.
Jaliba United female volleyball team was thrashed by 25 points to 13 points in the final set of the volleyball match.
Gambia College volleyball team will take on Bere Wulleng male volleyball team on Thursday June 13, 2013 whilst Friday June 14, 2013 Wellingara United male volleyball team will face Jaliba United male volleyball team and Nema female volleyball team will lock horns with Wellingara female volleyball team.
