We Will Bounce Back - Gambia U-17 Head Coach

Despite his team's 2-0 thumping in the hands of Nigeria U-17 team in their second friendly match, played at the Brikama Mini Stadium on Monday 7thSeptember 2009.

The Head Coach of the Gambia National U-17 team, Tarik Siagy, has expressed confidence that the team will bounce back to its winning form.

The Egyptian coach is optimistic that the U-17 side will once against raise the Gambian flag higher in Nigeria in next month's World Cup.

Coach Siagy made this remark in an exclusive interview with Pointsport yesterday at their training session at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

He stated that his team will prepare well ahead of the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup and assured Gambians of a positive performance in the forthcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He said he is working closely with his technical staff and will do everything possible to achieve glory.

He called on the general pubic, companies, individuals and private sector to come forward and give a helping hand to the team so that they would have a successful campaign.

With money and necessary materials, I am convinced that this team will bring glory to The Gambia at the end of the championship,'' coach Siagy stated.

It could be recalled that The Gambia pitted in Group C, along side Iran, Netherlands and Columbia.
