"We want to move S/K East to another level" - S/K East SG

Alagie Nyassi, the Secretary-General of Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) has said that their aim is to move Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation to a higher level.

He added that this is why they are writing to companies and the private sector to secure sponsorships for the development of the zone.

Nyassi also thanked Banjul Breweries Limited for accepting to sponsor last weekend super cup final, despite the short time approach.

He also warned team officials, players and fans to maintain discipline throughout the nawetaan, noting that strict measures are being put in place for any violence or misconduct during the championship.

Borry Darboe, the Sales Supervisor and Administrator-in-charge of the Distribution Network of Banjul Breweries Company Limited throughout The Gambia, also speaking said they are proud of supporting Gambian sports and youth development in general. He said it's against this backdrop that they had sponsored the Serrekunda East Super Cup final.

He also stated that they are planning to help other zones with footballs, especially those in dire need of it.

Darboe also revealed that they have penned down a D130, 000 agreement with the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation, to build the second pavilion of the park.

Noting that this is just the beginning, he said they are willing to do more in the near future.   

In the same vein, Culture FC on Sunday 1st August 2010 defeated Juventus FC by 2-0 in the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawettan at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium in the 5pm encounter.

Culture FC goals were scored by Buba Trawally and Mbemba Colley in the 47th and 76th minutes of the game to earn their side all three points and its first victory of the championship.

Earlier in the 3pm kick-off, B.B. Rover's lost to Bantaba FC by 3-2 at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

Domingo Manneh scored a brace for Bantaba FC in the 16th and 22nd minutes, while Hatab Sonko sealed the victory for Bantaba FC in the 38th minute.

Mamadi Dambelly and Louis Gomez netted B.B. Rover's FC goals in the 8th and 24th minutes of the game, respectively.
