"We Need to Win to Qualify" - Captain Ebou Sillah

Senior national team captain Ebou Sillah has described the Scorpions game against Liberia, slated for Saturday in Banjul, as "a must win affair".

The Scorpions captain, who arrived Sunday evening ahead of the game together with other team mates, spoke with Pointsports on their impression of the upcoming game over the weekend.

 

Captain Sillah expressed optimism regarding the upcoming match against Liberia and said, "the match on Saturday will be a crucial game, because we need a win to qualify. We need support from the public. We invite all Gambians to come in their thousands to cheer us on Saturday," he stated.

Ebrima Sohna  said, "it will not be an easy match but we will do all our best to make sure that we collect the 3points.

Mathew Mendy stated, "we will be very focused on this game against Liberia on Saturday at the Independence Stadium and with the home support and prayers from everybody we will make it.

Musa Bajaha told Pointsports, " I have confidence in my team mates because of the competition in the team. The unity, the determination and commitment to fight tooth and nail to win the match is very strong. I know some of the Liberian players because we play in together in Sweden we have better quality than them."

Pa Modou Jagne said, "we have the home advantage and we should make the best use of it, the match is very important if we win we have more chance of qualifying."

Mustapha Jarju said, "I am confident that with the help of God I and Ebrima Sawanneh will score. In the first leg we missed several good chances."

 In his remarks Ebrima Sawanneh pointed out that with collective play, concentration on the game and the support of the general public "for sure we will win the Liberians."
