Wallidan
are chasing their astonishing rhythm in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football
Federation second division following their poor start to the country’s second
tier campaign, which kicked off last month with thrilling and exciting
fixtures.
The
country’s most decorated are struggling in the second tier with 4 points in
four league fixtures after winning one against Blue Star 2-1, drew goalless
with Interior before losing to Brufut United and Lions of Banjul 1-0
respectively.
They
are now eight points behind league leaders Red Hawks, who have bagged 12 points
in four league matches after winning their four league opening fixtures.
Wallidan
will play against Young Africans in the all-Banjul derby fixtures tomorrow,
Friday 16 December 2016, at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium; they will hunt to beat
Young Africans to pick up their rhythm after a woeful start to their second
tier campaign.
Young
Africans are among the teams contending for promotion to the top flight next
season after winning two and drawing two and are also unbeaten in the second
tier. They will contend to beat Wallidan to maintain their unbeaten run in the
league.
