Turkey congratulates Gambia for successful parliamentary elections

Government of Turkey has issued a warm congratulatory message commending the government and people of The Gambia for the peaceful and successful National Assembly elections conducted in the country on Thursday 6 April 2017.

A press release from the Turkish Embassy in The Gambia reads: “We welcome the fact that the elections that took place in The Gambia on Thursday 6 April 2017 were conducted in a fair and free manner. We congratulate all political parties which took part in the elections.

“We hope that these elections which constitute a great milestone for the future of the Gambian democracy will bring forth beneficent outcomes for the friendly and brotherly people of The Gambia.”
