Toubabo FC on Sunday beat Real Bakoteh FC by a lone goal to nil in the third division qualifiers in a keenly contested match played at the Serrekunda East mini-Stadium.
Striker Omar Jobe scored the only goal of the game for Toubabo FC in the 37th minute from a superb shot that hit the left bottom corner of the net thanks to a clever lay-off by strike partner Saikou Sawaneh.
The opponents could have levelled the score through Lamin Tunkara from a close range in the early stage of the game but his shot went over the crossbar for a goal-kick to Real Bakoteh FC.
In the 56th minute of the game, Buba Manga of Toubabo FC made a promising attempt on target with a powerful shot but his effort was denied by a crossbar before Real Bakoteh defence cleared the ball away from their danger zone.
Real Bakoteh continue to fight hard for an equaliser through substitute Ousainou Gassama but his effort was not good enough to rescue his side from conceding defeat.
The win means Tubakoto are through to the next stage of the qualifiers.
