Threatening violence case proceeds

Threatening violence case involving one Benjamin King continued recently at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court with the testimony of the first prosecution witness.

In his testimony, Dembo Manjang told the court he works as a driver and he recognised the accused person.

He said that on 29 March 2012, he started the engine of his vehicle and as he was about to move, he heard the accused knocking his vehicle and started uttering threatening words against him and his friend.

PW1 said he proceeded to the Brusubi Police Station and lodged a complaint, adding that when he returned to the accused’s compound, he did not find him there.

He said he later made a statement.

Hearing continues on 4 June 2012.
