Tennis lost to Juventus 3-2 in a friendly game played at the Gunjur Upper Basic School playground on Monday.

The game was part of efforts at strengthening the good relationship that exists between the two veteran teams.

Characterised by brilliant exhibition of skills and talent, the mouthwatering encounter attracted spectators from Gunjur and its surrounding.

Juventus opened the scoring through striker Amadou Manjang (alias Strong) in the 2nd minute of the game from a close range strike to give his side the lead.

Moments later Juventus found themselves 2-0 ahead in the 10th minute of the game when Lamin Jatta (alias Jatta) netted the second goal from a spectacular long range strike, to dash Tennis’s hopes of standing back on their feet.

Tennis fought back and pulled back one through defender Yankuba Jabang (alias Kuba) a minute before half time and thus the first period ended 2-1 in favour of Juventus.

As actions resumed in the second period, Tennis made several substitutions and mount heavy pressure on Juventus’s defence line.

Abdou Sanneh Manjang netted the equalizer for Tennis in the 55th minute of the game after sending Juventus’s goalkeeper Alagie Barrow (alias Manson Leader) into the wrong direction to smash the ball at the back net of Juventus to make it 2-2.

Alagie Nyassi (alias Bambo) grabbed the winner for Juventus in the dying minute of the game from a superb free kick.
