QCell FC and World Eleven FC have both booked their places in the quarterfinal of the ongoing Gunjur Nawetan championship after winning their final group games at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field at the weekend.
QCell FC advanced to the quarterfinal after their hard-fought 1-0 win over Nyokoyorr FC in a well-contested game in group B on Saturday.
QCell’s only goal of the game came in the dying minute of the game after they break the deadlock in the first period, whilst Nyokoyorr fought hard for an equalizer but could not level the score and thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of QCell FC.
In group D, last year’s knockout runners-up World Eleven FC beat knockout champions Manchester United 2-1 on Monday to secure a place in the quarterfinal.
