Magistrate Lamin George of the Bundung Magistrates' Court, on 11th January 2010, convicted and sentenced one Foday Suwareh, to five years mandatory jail term for the offence of robbery.
According to the particulars of offence, on 25th October 2009, at Tourist Development Area (TDA), the convict robbed one Jean Boorman of her digital camera.
The prosecuting officer, Chief Inspector Mballow narrated the facts of the case following the convict's own plea of guilt to the offence charged.
In his plea of mitigation, the convict Foday Suwareh, begged the court to temper justice with mercy and promised that he would never do it again. He said he regretted doing it, and was remorseful of what he did.
