D22, 000 theft case in court

One Alieu Jallow was on 11th January 2010, arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for allegedly stealing items worth D22, 000.

According to the particulars of offence, on 8th December 2009, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused Alieu Jallow stole eleven 'styling heads,' valued at D22, 000 being the property of one Karim Touray.

Meanwhile, the accused who pleaded not guilty was granted court bail in the sum of D30, 000, with a Gambian surety.

The case was adjourned to 16th January 2010
