Swimming Clinic for Gambian officials kicks off tomorrow

Gambia Swimming & Aquatic Sports Association will from tomorrow, Thursday 12 June 2014 begin a five-day swimming clinic for its officials.

The clinic, set to bring together 40 participants at the University of the Gambia Faculty of Law, is expected to wrap up on Monday 16 June 2012.

The FINA Clinic for Officials (Judges and Referees) is intended to help the National Federation to provide training to Judges and Referees through the course to be led by lecturer Olugbenga Lawal, a member of FINA Technical Swimming Committee and Chairman of the CANA Technical Swimming Committee.

In order to support successful performances in the pool, Judges and Referees need the best education and training, and thus the Nigerian national will be in the country to take officials through the five-day clinic.

The FINA Clinics for Coaches are intended to train coaches of all levels through courses led by an expert.

The main objective is to provide basic training to coaches through courses in their respective disciplines.

To support successful performances in the pool, coaches need to be provided with the best education and training, as offering technical training and promotion of best practices can help federation succeed.
