Suwaibou Sanneh sets new record

Suwaibou Sanneh,  Gambian athlete training at the High Performance Training Centre in Jamaica, has set another national record for The Gambia in the men’s 100m metres all-comer’s track in Jamaica on 21 May 2012.

He was ranked 2nd overall with a time of 10.22secs, breaking his own national record of 10.25secs he set last year in Italy to qualify for the London Olympic Games.

Suwaibou Sanneh, a Gambian Olympic qualifier now training in Jamaica, is confident of achieving results for The Gambia come the 2012 London Olympic this summer.

The president of the Gambia Athletics Association, Dodou Capi Joof, reacting to the news, congratulated Suwaibou for his “great performance”.
