The meeting was organised by the Ministry, Gambia Tourism Board and the National Assembly Select Committee on Tourism.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony, Benjamin Roberts, Minister of Tourism and Culture, said the purpose of the forum was to have a thorough look at the document and debate its nitty-gritty.
The tourism industry is a chain link, the Tourism minister said, adding that the industry faces challenges, hence stakeholders needed to brainstorm and chart the way forward to tackling the challenges.
This professionalism is key, he said, adding that to promote their products, they needed to spend more time on their online marketing.
Hon. Alhagie Sillah, chairman of National Assembly Select Committee on Tourism, in his remarks said the document had been reviewed and, as the Select Committee, it is their responsibility to ensure institutions progress.
