With
Justice, Nicolas Jaar, Moderat, Eric Prydz, De La Soul and Daito Manabe among
the first artists announced Sónar+D 2017, the Congress of Digital Culture and
Creativity Technologies, extends its timetable with an exclusive day for
professionals on Wednesday, June 14, a day before the main festival
begins.
Virtual
Reality and immersive experiences will take one of the central roles at Sonar+D
2017 with an expanded activities program offering more workshops, round tables
and exhibition areas.
Integral to this programme will be the
participation of Google in the figure of Jessica Brillhart, and the United
Nations VR lab, represented by Gabo Arora. Also confirmed to appear are Ayah
Bdeir, founder of the open source hardware platform littleBits, and the
directors of Japanese interactive design studio Rhizomatiks.
For
the Christmas season, SonarGift will go on sale this Friday December the 2nd, a
limited time promotion which will include the Sónar 2017 Pass and, exclusively
to Sónar and a month previous to going officially on sale, the entrance to the
Barcelona smash exhibition “David Bowie Is”.
