The elective congress is expected to bring together delegates from teams affiliated with Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation.
The congress will also witness the election of the new president that will replace outgoing president Mustapha Kebbeh, who was elected as the president of the country’s football governing body Gambia Football Federation (GFF) at the elective congress held on 31 July 2013, at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Senegambia.
According to SESDO, nomination for the much-awaited SESDO presidential election is open to all interested candidates in Serrekunda East and deadline for nomination is on Thursday 29 August 2013.
SESDO officials added that an interested presidential candidate must be nominated by a particular team.
The winner of the Saturday’s presidential election will steer the affairs of football in Serrekunda East in the next years to come.
Meanwhile, the 2013 Serrekunda West Super Cup final game between Pencha Bi FC and Kanifing United FC, which was called off due to heavy downpour of rain on Sunday 25 August, is now re-scheduled for this weekend at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium at 4.30pm.
The Super Cup marks the start of the 2013-2014 Serrekunda West Nawettan season to be hosted at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
