Shwah FC made a stunning start to the 2012 Serrekunda West third division qualifier campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Anfield Acad FC in a well-contested encounter played at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Monday.
Shwah FC opened the score in the 3rd minute of the game through Pa Ousman Senghore from a powerful shot to give his side the early lead before Ismaila Tamba sealed the victory in the 37th minute of the game from Abdoulie Jallow’s cross to consolidate a resounding victory for Shwah FC, thus the first period ended 2-0 in favour of Shwah FC.
Anfield Acad FC, who were trailling 2-0 in the first period, came all out for an equaliser and created few goal-scoring opportunities but squandered all their chances, thus the game ended 2-0 in favour of Shwah FC.
Meanwhile, Sekkens FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Jarington FC in a tightly contested qualifiers game played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on the day.
Sekkens opened the scoring through Lamin Jallow in the 35th minute of the game before Modou Lamin Manneh levelled the score for Jarington FC as both shared the spoils.
Shwah collected 3 points in two games, Anfield Acad FC managed to collect a single point in two outings, Sekkens collected 2 points in two games, while Jarington U-15 bagged 4 points in two games.
