Young Solifo FC are through to the semifinal in the ongoing Badinya Sports Committee (BSC) intermediate football tournament after defeating Young Nyokoyorr FC 1-0 in the quarterfinal clash at the Gunjur Upper School Football Field at the weekend.
The highly anticipated quarterfinal ties attracted crowd and both sides played defensive and offensive football with numerous goal-scoring opportunities created by the two titans.
Young Solifo FC opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the game through striker Yaya Touray, alias Rapa, that eventually proved to be the winner earning them a place in the semifinal.
Young Nyokoyorr responded back for an equalizer and created clear goal-scoring opportunities but failed to capitalize and thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Young Solifo FC.
Young Solifo have now joined Black Panthers and Barcelona in the semifinal and will later be joined by Young Commit FC or Bayern FC to make it four teams.
