Nawettan runners-up Bakau 1-0 in the 2013 Skye Bank Gambia Limited-sponsored
Super Nawettan zonal football competition game played at the Serrekunda West
Mini Stadium.
Bakau, who thrashed Serrekunda Central 3-0 in the group stage in 2012 Super Nawettan, knew Serrekunda Central will be coming all out for revenge and outplayed Serrekunda Central in the midfield, causing serious damages to their defence line as they created golden goal-scoring opportunities.
Bakau opened the scores through full-back Modou Jatta in the 30th minute of the game to give his side the lead, which eventually proved to be the winner.
Lamin thumped Barra, Eassau and Mayamba 2-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, with goals from former Gambia U-17 full-back Bakary Bunja Sanyang and Sanna Kujabi in the 1st and 37th minutes of the game respectively.
Barra, Essau and Mayamba finished the game with ten men after Assan Njuke was sent off in the 58th minute of the game after receiving second yellow card.
Elsewhere, Serrekunda East beat Banjul on the same score-line at the Banjul Mini Stadium on the same day.
Lamin and Serrekunda are leading group B with 3 points each in one outing. Bakau are 3rd position with 3 points in one game.
Banjul, Barra, Essau and Mayamba and Serrekunda Central are languishing at the bottom of group B with zero point each in one game.
