Senegambia Beach Hotel a leading hotel in The Gambia

The competition is getting stiffer and higher quality  standards are in demand as more and more hotels and restaurants are opened in the country. Senegambia Beach Hotel is one of the leading hotels in the country and is wasting no time in giving its customers what they want. The hotel presents a welcoming image of being residence-friendly and a place to relax with a distinctive African glamour.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Entertainment last Tuesday at his office, Mr Juergen Odenwarld, General Manager of the hotel said that Senegambia Beach Hotel is a hotel for everybody, noting that since its establishment up to date, the hotel has enjoyed the cooperation of its staff. The General Manager furthered revealed that the management board has made Senegambia a top hotel by renovating to give it a new face lift.

Mr Odenwarld added that most of the profit created by the hotel is re-invested and that this will continue because at the end of the day the hotel wants to maintain international standards in a competitive industry.

Mr Odenwarld who has spent three years as the general manager of the hotel over which period he re-structured the hotel and set a new standard in service delivery.

With the help of his staff and good management, the hotel has worked on enhancing guest satisfaction as well as improving the food quality; he explained.

Touching on the global economic crisis, General Manager Odenwarld lamented that it has drastically affected  this year's tourist season.

At the moment there is about 10 to 20 percent revenue  and 15 to 18 percent in tourists. Moreover most of the guests who now come to the country are repeaters.

The General Manager in conclusion thanked the Director of the GTA Mrs. Binta Jobe and her new minister of Tourism and Culture "or their wonderful efforts in tourism development." He also voiced special thanks to President Yahya Jammeh for giving them the support required.
