Sanna Nyassi’s Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact fell to French club Olympique Lyonnais 4-2 on penalties in Tuesday’s friendly at Stade Saputo.
Both sides drew 1-1 in regulation time following the scoring of early goals each in the first half before the French side was able to overtake the MLS outfit on penalties, goal.com has revealed.
Lyon led all the way in the shootouts by scoring all their first three kicks. Impact missed the first three and was able to manage just two kicks in the whole lot despite its home advantage.
The Canadian side, Montreal will now play New York Red Bulls on Saturday night at Stade Saputo in MLS.
