The community of Sanchaba Sulay Jobe in the Western Region will this Saturday witness the official launch of the newly-constituted Sanchaba Youth Committee.
The Youth Forum has learnt that the event would be graced by local authorities in the area, National Assembly members, and youth leaders while the Youth and Sports Minister is also expected to be in attendance.
According to the chairperson of the group, Alfusainey Gano, the committee that was elected last month will be tasked with the responsibility of coordinating all youth activities and programmes in the community. This would be done in collaboration with the village development committee, VDC, he said.
The committee has so far developed a plan of action which outlined the activities they intend to carry out for the next six months. The activities will include capacity building, social programmes as well as championing the reconstruction of the main Sanchaba Sulay Jobe road.
