Interesting weekend clashes in GFA league

Wallidan will face arch-rivals Real de Banjul in Week Three encounter of the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association (GFA) First Division league at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Wallidan drew 1-1 with Seaview in the opening day of the league and lost to Samger 1-0 in the Week Two weekend game and collected a single point from two games.

Real de Banjul, a single point from two games after a 2-0 thumping in the hands of Bakau giant Steve Biko in the opening day of the league and their disappointed 1-1 draw against Seaview will be hoping for a win.

GPA will face Interior at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda. GPA already collected 3 points from two games and will be hoping to bounce back following their narrow 1-0 defeat in the hands of telecommunication boys Gamtel last weekend.

Interior who have managed two draws against Brikama United and Bakau United, respectively are expected to go in for maximum points.

Elsewhere, Hawks will meet Brikama United at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

Brikama United have so far have an edge over their opponents after drawing their first two games in this season championship.

Sunday games will feature league leaders Steve Biko against telecommunication boys Gamtel at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.

Samger will take on Seaview at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Defending champions Armed Forces will entertain Bakau United at Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

Kaki boys are yet to register a victory since the start of the league. They only managed to collect 2 points from two games and they will do all efforts to make sure they beat Bakau United and bagged all 3 points.

Bakau United collected 4 points from two games and they will come all out to close the gap in defence of their league title.
