Rising Gambian model battles for Miss Africa Netherlands crown

Gambia will this weekend get a representative to the illustrious M.E.N as Adama Jobe battles to outshine the continent’s beauties for the Miss Africa Netherlands crown.

When all is set and done this Sunday, she will cat-walk the stage aiming to convince a raft of assembled top judges, come the November 15 grand finale.

The tall fresh-faced, inspiring 20-year-old is one of highly-rated models expected to wow the cheering attendees off their seats.

She will, however, need to ward off stiff rivalry from six others drawn from Ethiopia, Burundi, Cameroon, Uganda, Rwanda, including 17-year-old Dutch-Nigerian Demi Jo Solomon, to snatch the crown.

Her theme will be: The Emancipation and Empowerment of African women and increased awareness on the importance of gender equality, when she hits the podium.
