A woman was on 10 November 2015, arraigned before Magistrate Bojang of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, and charged with idle and disorderly behaviour.
The indictment stated that Isatou Jallow conducted herself in a manner likely to occasion a breach of the peace, by insulting police officers on duty at Kololi Police Station, on 25 October 2015 at Kololi in the Kanifing Municipality.
Prosecutors further alleged that the action of the accused amounted to committing an offence.
Isatou Jallow, the accused, did not accept responsibility.
She was subsequently granted bail of D2,000 with a Gambian surety, who should swear to an affidavit of means and to surrender an ID card to the registrar of the court.
Prosecutor CPL 1542 Mendy is expected to call his first witness on 18 November 2015, for the hearing.
