Real out to impress in Algeria, players named

Real de Banjul will be going all-out in Algeria to impress and secure qualification to the next round of the CAF Champions League qualifiers competition, according to captain Alagie Nyabally.

The team will depart Banjul for Algeria for the return leg with ESSétif on Saturday, and the message from the skipper was simple: “We are going to Algeria to be impressive and, hopefully, progress to the next round even though we know it won’t be easy, but in football nothing is impossible.”

“It won’t be easy, but we will return with good a result,” captain Nyabally added.

The skipper concluded: “The team’s performance has improved and we haven’t lost a game in the league; so we are hopeful of a decent performance in Sétif”.

The 30-man delegation that will be making a stopover in the capital, Algiers, before continuing its journey to Sétif on Sunday morning, will be headed by the club’s 1st vice president Pa Yusufa Samba, while Ebou Faye will represent the Gambia Football Federation.

The list of 19 players travelling to Algeria for the tie are:

Goalkeepers: Alagie Nyabally, Ebrima Jarju and Joseph Jarju

Defenders:SalifuKrubally, Adama Sabally, AntouBadjan, SaikouMansally, Mbye Faye and Arona Jabang

Midfielders: Modou Lamin Badjie, Alhagie Bah, Bubacarr Camara, Ebou Sanyang, Famara Jarju and Ablie Jallow
