Heavy down pour last Friday caused havoc to some families in Banyaka village in the Kombo South district of Western Region.
Speaking to our reporter, Lamin Camara, the son of the Alkalo of Banyaka village who walked into our office on Sunday, said the incident had caused incalculable damage to the victims.
According to him, none of the victims were injured but it has caused devastating effects on buildings and foodstuffs. As he put it, the roofs of many houses were removed and thrown away.
He appealed to the public to come to the aid of the victims, as they are presently housed by their neighbours.
The victims included Bubacarr Bah, Demba Jallow, Momodou Lamin Badjie, Omar Jawara, Madi Sowe, Almami Drammeh, Kebba Drammeh, Muhamadou Njie and Ebrima Jallow, all residents of Banyaka village.
