The meeting, funded by UNICEF, brought together duty bearers and right holders and other stakeholders to discuss issues on various selected topics.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, John C. Njie, the Acting Director Pro-PAG, said the meeting, among others, was aimed at highlighting the reasons for the budgetary allocation in the area of health, water, sanitation and housing. He said the meeting would discuss issues, such as to the needs of women and children empowerment.
According to him, the meeting will also enhance effective service delivery by making duty bearing more accountable and efficient.
For his part, Mr. Omar Jobe said the idea behind the meeting is to create a space for constructive dialogue, aimed at enhancing development results.
He added that duty bearers are entrusted with the responsibility to deliver service to the public.
