Gibba won himself a trophy, medal certificate, T-Shirt and Gamcel sim card in the process as winner of the 5-kilometer race.
The race started at Besse village and ended at Bajana village with The Point’s deputy chief security beating all his competitors.
Speaking to our reporter, Mr Gibba began by thanking the Almighty God for the enablement, and The Point Newspaper for their support. He also thanked his family and friends for supporting him.
Gibba, who finished 15th position in the race last year, said that after the marathon last year he kept his hope and continued to train hard to improve his position this year and with the help of the Almighty he was able to make it.
He expressed delight in getting the award for the fact that this was his first time to grab the 1st prize award in the race.
He expressed confidence that he would retain the title next year, saying: “I will continue to work hard.”
