Hon. Alieu K. Jammeh, Minister of Youths and Sports, has said that “our young artistes have the ability to stand out and profile the country through music”.
He encouraged Gambians to join efforts and support them to reach their targeted goals.
Jammeh was speaking at a programme organised by ‘Think Young Women’ In Solidarity with Abducted Girls In Nigeria at American Corner, as part of a ‘Bring back our girls’ campaign on 23 May 2014.
Killer Ace was a guest artiste, who has joined the call for the freedom of the abducted Nigerian girls by the so-called Islamic militants, Boko Haram, by releasing a new song entitled ‘Bring back our girls’.
Jammeh said he is a huge fan of Gambian music, naming the likes of Killa Ace among his personal favorites.
He said: “I have his CD in the car, and I always listen to it.”
