NYSS Disburses D900,000 Loan to Ex-Corps Members

Addressing the beneficiaries, the SoS for Youth and Sport, Honourable Sheriff ML Gomez, reminded the gathering that the Government of The Gambia through his Department of State has been working tirelessly over the years to meet the growing demand of young people. He said that this has been achieved using different strategies as far as employment is concerned. According to SOS Gomez, the government established the NYSS in 1996 through an act of parliament to provide youths with marketable skills for employment. The youth and sport boss told the beneficiaries that the training they receive will equip them with the necessary tools to compete.
