Njogu Demba’s OB Odense secured a crucial 1-1 draw against Spanish side Getafe in Wednesday’s Europa League Group H match.
The Gambia international watched his side’s stalemate at home to overtake the Spanish giants on goal difference after levelling on 4 points each.
Group mates the German outfit Stuttgart are topping the group with 12 points and seconded by the Young Boys of Switzerland at 9 points in five fixtures.
Getafe, according to goal.com, continued from where they left off in their stunning win away to Sevilla last weekend by taking the lead just after the quarter-hour.
Two-goal hero Pedro Rios of the Saturday encounter was on the score-sheet again with a terrific header past by Roy Carroll.
The Danish side then had a goal ruled out for a push, with Johansson again involved, a decision which did not go down well with the home team.
However, they kept plugging away and got a deserved equaliser in the second minute of injury time.
Hans Henrik Andreasen entered the penalty box at the perfect moment to strike the ball home after a superb burst of pace from Peter Utaka down the left flank.
