Njawara Marathon July 26

The annual Njawara Marathon is scheduled to take place on Saturday July 26 2008 in Njawara in the North Bank Region of The Gambia.

According to Mr. Pateh Jaw, a committee member of the Marathon, the event is expected to attract athletes from the Greater Banjul Area and the satellite villages around Njawara.

He stated the Marathon is to support development projects in the village namely the health centre and the school.

He added that there will be a 5km and 10km race among others.
