NBR Double Murder Trial Resumes

The double murder case involving Amadou Jarra resumed yesterday before the special criminal court presided over by Justice Moses Richard.

However the case could not proceed, as the accused Amadou Jarra is yet to secure legal representation.

The accused was alleged to have murdered two women at Kerewan in the North Bank Region.

On Count One, the particulars of the alleged offence have it that the accused Amadou Jarra on 2nd March 2009 at Kerewan village in the North Bank Region murdered one Nyimansata Ceesay by stabbing her with a knife.

On Count Two, the alleged offence revealed that on 2nd March 2009, at Kerewan village in the North Bank Region, the accused Amadou Jarra murdered one Kinty Fatty by stabbing her with a knife.

The case was adjourned until 27th May 2009.
