Speaking at a press conference held at the Independence Stadium board room on Wednesday, Lamin Marong, head of the Marketing and Publicity Sub-committee, said the artistes expected to perform on the day include Jaliba Kuyateh, Mighty Joe, Humanity Stars and Amina Conteh. The Gambia armed forces provided D25, 000 and also promised to provide trucks to transport materials to and from the NAYCONF.
Presently, they have gathered roughly D3M and are in the drive to raise the remaining D1.9M, Marong announced.
He appealed to partners and corporate institutions to come forward and buy tables for the gala dinner, and help raise the remaining D1.9 million.
