Major Nawettan Centres have embarked on intensive preparations ahead of the 2013-2014 annual summer biggest football competition, as the summer biggest football jamboree, better known as Nawettan, is fast approaching across the length and breadth of the country.
Kulukochi United FC beat Gamcel FC 2-1 in a warm-up match at the weekend, played as part of Kulukochi’s preparation for the 2013-2014 Nawettan season.
Kulukochi opened the score in the 20th minute of the game through striker Wuyeh Barrow, who launched an astonishing strike to give his side the lead.
Omar Bojang Bajaw released the winner for Kulukochi United in the 57th minute of the game to secure a hard-fought victory over cellular boys Gamcel FC.
On the other hand, Steve Biko lost to Nyokoyorr FC 1-0.
In the Serrekunda East Nawettan, Gikiba FC and Blue Stars FC have sailed to the final phase of the qualifiers after winning their qualifier games played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium at the weekend.
Gikiba FC thrashed New York FC 2-0 on Friday, whilst Blue Stars FC beat Beck Yard FC1-0.
