NAS FC, who drew all previous three games, knew that a draw this time around will really hamper their hopes of reaching the quarterfinal. Sambouyang, on the other hand, have lost their three games played so far and are rooted at the bottom of their group with zero points in three outings.
NAS FC dominated the entire game and created numerous goal-scoring opportunities and their efforts yielded dividend in the 12th minute of the game when winger wizard Amadou Jatta, alias Di Maria, netted the opener from a super strike to give his side the lead.
Yankuba Bojang, alias Ronaldinho, doubled NAS FC’s lead in the 20th minute of the game from a spectacular long-range strike to dash Sambouyang FC’s hopes of coming back to their feet.
Amadou Jatta, alias Di Maria, sealed a victory for NAS FC in the 47th minute of the game from a close-range strike to compete his brace which has earned NAS FC their first victory in the Nawettan.
Elsewhere, the 2010 league champions Commit FC defeated 2010 knockout champions Manchester United FC 1-0 to secure their second win in the Nawettan on the same day at a 3pm encounter.
NAS FC have now collected 6 points in four games, Commit FC have collected 7 points in three games, Manchester United have bagged 4 points in three games, while Sambouyang are with zero points in three games.
