Murder case transferred to Special Court

The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court recently transferred a murder case involving one Lamin Colley to the Special Criminal Court in Banjul.

According to the charge sheet, the accused, Lamin Colley, on 21 March 2012, at Bakau Mamakoto, in the Kanifing Municipality, murdered one Abdoulie Colley and thereby committed an offence.

He was subsequently remanded in custody, pending the transfer of the case to the Special Criminal Court in Banjul.
