Men arraigned for conspiracy and theft

Burama Singhateh and Abdoulie Jallow were on 16 January 2012 arraigned at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy and stealing.

The particulars of offence on count one stated that on 11 January 2012, in Banjul, at the Brikama car park, the accused persons, Burama Singhateh and Abdoulie Jallow, conspired among themselves to commit felony.

Count two stated that on 11 January 2012 in Banjul, at the Brikama car park, the two jointly stole from the vehicle of one Modou Bojang D5,000, the property of the said Modou Bojang.

They denied the charges and were subsequently granted court bail of D20,0000, each with a surety who most swear to an affidavit of means.

The case continues.
